Mina, Melissa, and Jeni helped set up. Mina emceed. 15 people read at the open mic: Jeni, Andy (me), Alex Glass, Bari Berger, Matt, Emily Cowan, Neil, Todd Sandler, Joseph Arbach, Ryan from New Haven (lately of Scotland), Chelsa Santoro, Steve DeWates, Josh Higgins, Colin, and el Ché.
Summer's feature was brilliant and spellbinding.
Mina emceed the slam. Mike Burns kept score. Jeni, Andy, Matt, and Alex slammed. Jeni, Alex, and Matt all qualified for the semi-finals.
Afterwards we went to the Chanticleer and then out to one of Summer's friend's place and talked poetry.
