Alex Charalambides from Worcester featured. He was great.
Mina emceed the slam. Kimari kept score. Colin, Kate, Andrew, Brett, and I slammed. Kate won with her editing poem and also a new one she wrote in New Mexico. Colin came in 2nd. He had a phat dramatic piece about being yuppie-trash. I did one about Amnesty International in the form of a swallow, and came in 3rd. Brett read some haiku. Andrew did some cool hip-hop stuff. Since Kate and I were already qualified, Colin and Brett qualified for the semi-final in December.
Afterwards we went to Mina's and talked slam for a while with Alex.
