Another great night of poetry. At the open mic were Angel, Amy, Steve, Noah, Jane, Nat, Brian Lee, Michael, and other cool poets.
Mina emceed the slam and did the door. Matt calibrated. Amy kept score. Angel, Andy, Jane, James, and Patrick slammed. Angel won the first round, then Patrick, and Andy. Angel won the second round, then Andy, and James. Angel came in first, Andy second, Patrick third. Jane was the people's choice for fourth. There was some misunderstanding about the time penalties, which would have changed the order, so we all are qualified for the grand slam in May. I did a piece about Mumia, and a piece about pirates.
The audience was awesome. My friends Melissa, Bob, Lisa, Marge, Summer, and Kimari came.
