The open mic poets included Patrick, Jonathan, Andy, Zoe, Marc, Jake, and Emily.
Anis, the national champ, featured. He was awesome.
Mina emceed the slam. Keila from Geneseo kept score.
Andy, Zoe, Marc, Emily and James slammed. Zoe took the first round, Emily and James tied for second in that round. James took the second round, then Zoe, then Emily. Zoe won the slam by 1/10 of a point. James came in second, then Emily.
Some of my friends came, including Kimari, Kitty, Melissa and Jeff, Mina, and some people from Geneseo.
I did my Mumia poem and a new piece about the woman by the roadside in the slam. For the open mic I did my new cosmolgy piece.
