Summer 2002
Jeni, Nathaniel, Liz, and I went to the 2002 National Poetry Slam, which took place the week of August 13-17, 2002 in Minneapolis. It was wonderful. Team Ithaca
represented in many events, including the queer showcase, the war and peace
reading, the mourning after reading, and the regular bouts. We did several group
pieces and were always great friends. Marya came as our alternate. We were voted
the most
admirable team at the Rust Belt regionals in Columbus. Harriet Antczak
substituted for Nathaniel at that event.
